Hommlet in the Wake of War (system agnostic)
A downloadable game
In this version of T1: The Village of Hommlet, nuclear war has ravaged the land. The village is a new community rising from the ashes. Remnants of technology still exist in the area, but they are hard to keep maintained and nearly impossible to replace. People must find new ways (old ways, actually!) to survive. Technology from the past can be enticing, yet unpredictable.
Some Background...
I wrote this up pretty quickly in one night of inspirado, thinking about the Adventure Warp Jam. It happens to be that I just finished running The Village of Hommlet for my group, so it was fresh in my mind. While I did put a bunch of hours in, the document still feels like a work in progress and I may go back to it at some point. For now, I think it is best served alongside the original module and would be easiest to use if the GM is already familiar with the original adventure. But it was fun to make and I enjoy how there are so many directions and options possible when blending fantasy and post-apocalyptic settings.
What you will find here...
This document (11 two-column pages) has details on every location and room, character and monster, found in the original module. Each area is keyed to the same spots as the original maps that came with the module. Details are presented to give a post-apocalyptic feel and flavor while maintaining the original vibes and story of the original work.
What you won't find here...
You won't find all the level of detail found in the original work. Having the original module would be handy for the maps and possibly other info.
You won't find creature/NPC stat blocks or treasure in this document. It will be up to the GM to do this appropriately for the system chosen to run the adventure.
Please Note...
This project is a work of fan fiction and no compensation was taken for it. T1: The Village of Hommlet is by Gary Gygax, written for TSR, and (I think) now property of Wizards of the Coast.
