tiny lev up adjustment. Also, grittier play option

Extremely minor adjustment to the Level up system. Reading through, I realized a detail that didn't make sense. 

Also, added the idea for a more gritty game... start with D6s instead of D8s. I think this makes a lot of sense and will make players think twice before running into danger. I wanted this idea represented in there.
