Warrior Wizard (OSR compatible)

In Warrior Wizard, players take on the roles of Warrior Wizards, ancient seekers of spells that are equally adept at fighting with swords or harnessing magic. However, in this world, magic is a mysterious and dangerous art, and requires extensive practice and study. And so the Warrior Wizards must travel the world in search of the artifacts, components, or anything else they may need. 

One player takes on the role of GM, the others are characters. This is a one-page rpg and it is compatible with standard OSR style games, so you should be able to use old creature manuals or item lists from OSR games pretty easily. 

Also, know that I gained some inspirado to make this game from reading Karl Edward Wagner's Kane series, as Kane is definitely a Warrior Wizard. But Robert E. Howard's Conan series and other swords and sorcery style media may help inspire a game of Warrior Wizards. 

Note: With any tabletop roleplaying game it is essential to make sure all players know what to expect as far as violence, gore, situations, or any other type of content in the game. Defining the game as something like PG, PG-13, or R in rating, and maybe giving some examples of books or movies with similar types of content can be an easy way to start the conversation. 

Using something like an X Card is a useful tool, especially if playing with others you've not played with too often, newer players, or even when trying a different game from what the table is used to. Even though it may seem like everyone is great friends, having a tool like an X Card around is easy to do and if it comes in handy even once, it is worth it.
