The Basics: A Superhero RPG

In The Basics: A Superhero RPG, players take on the roles of heroes in Majestic City, fighting crime and saving the day. The entire basic game fits on one sheet, front and back. Create characters using a D66 table to generate superpowers, and roll 4 ability scores, and there's not too much more. So, making characters is quick! You'll find some rules for making checks and basic combat, and guidelines for making powers work. 

Superpowered but still human, heroes in The Basics harken back to the golden age of comics before heroes became the big bold beefcakes of modern supers stories. Instead, they're vulnerable and must think on their feet because fighting crime is a deadly game!

All zines can be printed front/back (Landscape. Flip on short edge) with 1-2 sheets of 8.5X11 paper, folded in the middle, to make a collection of little books. The adventure is printed one page, front/back, and then folded as a pamphlet

Art for the Heroes of Majestic City, and Villains of Majestic City zines was made by me, the old fashioned way... pencil/pen on paper. Then I took some pics with my phone and cut them out in a paint program. I did a few extremely minor touch ups in a paint program. Nothing fancy, but I do enjoy drawing some super heroes.

Maps for the adventure were made using Paint 3D, mostly because it came with my computer and I needed a way to just use basic shapes and make some simple maps. 

Character sheet was drawn by me and then scanned in, ink on paper. Some teeny tiny touch ups were done in Paint 3D and my itch address was added. 

No LLM AI was used for this project in any step of the way. 100% human made.
